peglegcrumpet: Caravaggio’s version^ Artemesia Gentileschi’s version^ … I don’t think that if a person was beheading another person, they would do it delicately. I love Gentileschi’s version. Women were always depicted as delicate, so painting this woman as strong was awesome.
